| Interphase introduces a powerful second station remote capability to its new Color Twinscope Sonar System. Perfect for use on a flying bridge, cockpit or other areas where a remote sonar display is desired. Using a unique and easy to install serial link, the two station Color Twinscope System allows either display to act like a 3-dimensional underwater acoustic radar that lets boaters see ahead, below and side to side with the push of a button.
In the Color Twinscope's set-up menu, owners can configure one display as the Master and the second as a remote and full display and control can be easily transferred between the two by a momentary push of either display's power button. No external switches are required and there's nothing to forget.
With 3,000 watts of peak-to-peak power and ranges up to 1,200 feet ahead, the Color Twinscope and it's remote model CLR, are indispensable for detecting hazards like submerged deadheads, rock pinnacles and reefs. Blue water fishermen will find it invaluable for locating bait schools and game fish. And with the two-station capability boaters will have the convenience of a forward looking scanning sonar display in either of two locations.
Among its many outstanding features, the Remote Color Twinscope CLR uses a panoramic color display with 16:9 aspect ratio. This high-resolution color display is absolutely brilliant with a choice of three-display modes - normal (blue), day (white) and night (black). Screens are bright and colorful, and easy to read in any light condition, including direct sunlight. The different color levels directly relate to target strength, making target identification easier than ever.
Working like underwater radar, the Color Twinscope system scans a moving beam over a 90-degree arc, either vertically, or horizontally sides to side ahead of the boat. In the horizontal scanning mode, the system electronically steers a searchlight like beam from port to starboard across the bow, picking up any targets in its 12-degree beam. It also operates as a traditional, downward-looking color echo sounder with information being provided on a split screen with choice of either the vertical or horizontal forward looking scan displays.
The CLR unit, is designed for system integration and can output NMEA depth data to other navigational electronics and accept NMEA lat/lon, speed and water temperature inputs from external sources, for truly useful multi-function display on its wide screen. It even has input for external video in order to view engine spaces, onboard activities or underwater images. And if a boater wants to download future software upgrades, he can easily do it using the Color Twinscopes serial interface.
The Interphase Color Twinscope Remote Station Kit includes a 30' length of the second station sonar and a serial link cable.
