System Components (Box Contents):
- Antenna Unit
The antenna unit includes the antenna positioning mechanism, transmit/receive amplifier, sensor, and control elements. A molded ABS radome encloses the baseplate, sealed by a neoprene foam gasket.Weathertight connectors on the baseplate connect the antenna to below-decks equipment.
- RF Transceiver
The RF transceiver (transmitter/receiver) is the hub of the Tracphone system. It interfaces all communication devices to the RF transmission/reception components, initiates the satellite search, and in Tracphone 252 systems, provides power to the antenna unit. It also includes a slot for Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card use.
- Handset and Cradle Assembly
The handset is the Tracphone’s user interface. Its liquid crystal display, LED indicators, and pushbuttons allow you to configure and operate all aspects of the system.
- Fax/Phone Switch
The Fax/Phone Switch connects all peripheral devices, such as an auxiliary phone (PABX), fax machine, and computer, to the communications system.
