Automatic Identification System (AIS) is ready-to-go on the 567 and 557, allowing you to identify and avoid large ships and other vessels transmitting AIS signals in near by waters.
Northstar's ease-of-use philosophy is led by the Explorer 567's user interface design. The intuitive MENU key uses situation logic to display options dependent on the current situation. Have you just set a waypoint? Then the first menu option is GOTO. Currently following a route? The menu displays CANCEL ROUTE.
