Introducing KVH's exclusive RingFire Technology
The new TracVision M-series antennas all use KVH's proprietary new RingFire technology, a remarkable breakthrough in antenna design. Fusing precisely shaped, tuned parabolic dish antennas with custom-designed, dual-mode feed tubes and uniquely modified LNBs, RingFire technology provides unmatched illumination of the reflector resulting in signal strengths that are comparable to competitors' larger antennas. TracVision M-series antennas are up to 30% more powerful than KVH's TracVision HP products, which were already among the best in the industry. This means that with the TracVision M-series you'll enjoy wider geographic coverage and better reception, even in extreme weather.
Taking High Performance to New Heights - KVH's Tuna Tower Upgrade
Any TracVision M-series antenna that offers KVH's signature High-Performance (HP) tracking guarantees outstanding tracking and uninterrupted satellite TV in virtually any sea condition. But what about for the boaters who need a bit more; the ones who take their boat to the edge in search of the big one; the boaters with the high-performance sportfisher and a tuna tower?
Before you head after that marlin and push the throttle into the red, make sure to add the extra power offered by KVH's Tuna Tower Upgrade to your TracVision M5 or M7. This rugged gyro-stabilized digital compass not only allows your TracVision to find the satellite faster when you start up, but also helps keep the antenna locked onto the satellite, even as the boat slams through rough seas at 40 knots and send 12G shocks through the tuna tower and the TracVision. Plus it offers precision heading data to your other onboard systems for added accuracy and reliability. No matter how fast you go, you'll always be able to rely on your TracVision to bring your favorite entertainment along for the ride.
Replacing Your TracVision 4-HP and TracVision G4-HP
The new KVH TracVision M5 from Turtle Marine is the direct replacement for the TracVision 4 and G4 models. Its main differences are the new RingFire technology, improved HP tracking and full HDTV support. The TracVision M5 uses stronger motors, has a stiffer baseplate, and includes enhanced tracking and stabilization software so it will maintain its lock on the satellite even in rough seas as well as be rugged enough to withstand 12G shocks or more as the boat pounds through the waves. For boaters who plan to push their boat to the limit (a sport fisher with a tuna tower or vessels operating in the rough waters of the North Sea, for example), Turtle Marine offers a gyro-stabilized digital compass upgrade that helps maintain a lock on the satellite in even the most severe weather while also providing digital outputs for other onboard systems in the same fashion as the TracVision G4-HP. Also, TracVision M5 is fully compatible with DIRECTV's HDTV service in the U.S. as well as HD services offered internationally. However, where all other competing systems require you to use a control panel or a toggle switch to tell the antenna to move from the HDTV satellite to the standard programming satellite, the M5 allows boaters to do it right from their seat using the remote control simply by changing channels, just like at home.
What Configurations of TracVision M5 are available?
Turtle Marine currently offers four configurations of the TracVision M7: a baseline US model with switchplate, a baseline European model with switchplate, a US model with switchplate and MultiSat Control Panel for easy operation and multiple satellite tracking; and a US model with GyroTrac Sensor, a digital gyrocompass to ensure top-notch operation in the open water.
