Truecharge Battery Temperature Sensor

This temperature sensor is designed for use with Truecharge 20+ and 40+ battery chargers. It mounts on a terminal post of a battery in a bank or on the side of a battery and measures its temperature. It sends precise information to the charger, which automatically adjusts voltage to ensure full battery charge depending on the ambient temperature of your battery installation.

When the batteries are cold, the charger can charge them at a higher rate. When they are hot, the charge may need to be scaled back. The sensor enables the Truecharge units to make this decisions based on real-time information from the batteries. If the sensor is not fitted, the Truecharge units will use an assumed average battery temperature.
